Molars, anyone?!?

Yesterday's high was 99 degrees. That's ONE degree above the record high set here in 2006. Yuma, AZ reached 115 yesterday, and Las Vegas topped out at 108!!! Even in the extreme heat, we managed to have a pretty cool afternoon.

But first, this picture begins to explain why Erin (and I) had a rough night last night and the night before. Notice the wet spot on her shirt? What about the runny nose? I've seen these before...about 8 months ago when Erin cut her first tooth. This time it's FOUR at one time!!! And they're ALL molars. Poor little baby. I wish I could make it go away. But I can't, so 'lil bit has to tough it out. She has been such a trooper.

And below is her on September 10th, 2007. The day of her 6-month check-up as well as the day her first tooth broke through. Hey, maybe her thighs ARE starting to thin out. Maybe.

This was Erin's first swim this year. She loved it!!!

Erin wouldn't be a true Nese if she didn't wear the nerd goggles at least once. I'm sure this won't be the last time she'll wear those hideous things.

Oh, one more picture. Erin got her first goose egg this morning. She was running down the hallway to her room, where I was, and she fell head first onto the corner. I saw it happen, so after making a big panicky sigh, I immediately scooped her up off the floor. She of course started to cry. I thought I was going to barf when I saw that knot appear right before my eyes. I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing. Tony was downstairs, so I handed her off to him. By this time, not even a minute after it happened, Erin was fine. She was being her normal self- even ate a few Goldfish crackers- and I was still feeling sick. We tortured her with an icepack and it seemed to help with the swelling. It's been a few hours since the incident and the knot isn't nearly as big as it was. Honestly, we're a little surprised she's just now getting her first big knot.

Erin just got up from her nap and I think we're past the worst part with the teeth, and I think she's going to survive her head bump. It's amazing what a difference a few hours can make.
